Been a week

I just realized this morning while talking with DH that it's been a week since I ran! I'm not going to be able to go tonight either. I blogged before that the past 2 weeks have been insane! Last night DD#2 had Bball team dinner & practice. DD#3 had her first play performance (Middle School). Fortunately both were at the high school, so DH took DD#2 and stayed at the school and then DD#1 and I met him at the performance.

They did a really great job! DD#3 had a small role - she had 1 speaking line and was in 3 (out of 9) scenes. She was considered an Ensemble. We were really proud she made it because a lot of kids auditioned. She's not in chorus and hasn't had drama this year, so she must have had a great audition! Anyway, the kids did everything with the assistance of the chorus & drama teacher (and some high school kids).

DH took DD#1 & 3 home and I waited for DD#2 to finish practice. It was 8:30 by the time we got home. DH had stopped by the grocery store and picked up a cake for "celebration". I really wanted a piece, but I decided not to!

Tonight is performance #2. DH is going to go again. I'm taking DD#1 to work, DD#3 early @ 5:30 and then meeting DD#2 at the gym. She has a short practice after school and then is staying for the JV girls & Varsity games. I'm going to watch the girls play and will probably leave after that. She might want to stay for the boys game since it's homecoming and one of her teammates is on the "court".

Tomorrow DD#2 has a tournament (9 am & 2:30 pm) and DD#1 has an eye doctor appt. I also have to work backstage for the performance tomorrow. I'm not sure if I can "squeeze in" a run tomorrow or I might just do a ST DVD.

DD#2 has confirmation class Sunday morning (I'm a small group leader), but it will be over by 12. It's going to be a nice day, so I'm determined to run on Sunday! I'm sure I'll struggle after a week of no running, but I'm going to do the 1 min. walk/4 min. run (7 times).

I'm not that thrilled with the Super Bowl this year. I really hate both teams, but it should be a good game. I saw the grocery list this morning and it looks like DH is planning to make ribs! I'm not that big of a fan, so it won't be a problem not eating any. I'll have to come up with something healthy & fun for the game!

  You have lots of challenges and it sounds like you are taking good care of your family. Don't forget yourself in all this. I know they say to get 10 minutes of exercise here and there, but sometimes you are so busy THAT doesn't even seem possible! Just keep hanging in there and keep your eyes on the prize!
