Migraine again...

Friday, February 01, 2013

...woke up this morning unable to leave the bed. As soon as I tried I felt really nauseated. Opened the door and let the dog wlk himself...not very good for the temperature inside but it is "only" -3 (C) so it worked.

It is a blessing that it struck today and not any other day in this week as I have been editing and worked a lot. We had today also but I finished my writings yesterday, had proofred all pages except page one and even wrote the short pieces for page one... so it worked staying in bed, had it happen yesterday I donĀ“t know what I would have done...

Thinking about it, migraine has never struck when it was no room for it workwise... Never had an attack on theatre days, never on deadline days, never when I have been booked for lectures (although I do remember a horrible morning after when I woke up in a hotel room long way from home and had to enter the flight with a severe migraine...luckily the plane was almost empty and I could sit alone in the back with a blanket during the flight... when landing at home the attack was almost over. It mostly goes away at lunch.... and right now I am treating myself as standard...lots and lots of strong tea with sugar and milk and really salty food.

My oldest daughter loved school so much that she was only sick on weekends. That changed as she got older.

Sounds like me. During real stressful times, it never strikes. As soon as the stress is over, it strikes. Have you tried taking magnesium on a daily basis to prevent them? It has helped with mine. Even when it arrives, it is less intense and less frequent. Best wishes!
