Thought and Prayer for Friday, February 1, 2013

Friday, February 01, 2013

There are a lot of times we get bored and that boredom leads us to take a wrong turn in life. It is important to remember that if we are not consistent with anything else in the world, we need to be consistent with God. He will make things original every day. He will teach us something new every day. He will make our life exciting every day. When we are bored with life or whatever is going on, we need to be sure we are consistent with God. He can remove that boredom.

2 Timothy 2:15 “Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” (NLT)

Dear Lord, we know that we are human. We know that after a while things get old to us and we want to try something new. Help us to remember to put You first every day and be consistent in our time with You. We know that You can help us make every day different so we are doing what is Your will and we are being obedient to You. Help us to work hard for You and be a good worker. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We need to be consistent in our walk with God and ask Him to help us not get bored.

Boredom can lead to complacency and trouble. Find ways to fill boredom with productivity.
God can remove boredom from our lives but we have to take the first step and trust in Him to help us.

Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (NLT)

The source of our salvation
Rest is found in Him alone
The Author of creation.
