January Wrap Up

Friday, February 01, 2013

So, January wasn't the success I thought it was going to be. It started out great, I got through th first 10 days just fine. I was on plan, I exercised, I was down 5 lbs, all was going as planned. But then 11 days in, on a Friday, we craved pizza. And despite the pizza hut website being down and all signs pointing to "DON'T DO IT!" we still drove TO the pizza hut and ordered...$40 worth of stuff. And that set us on a downward spiral for the rest of the month. Luckily, I ended up not gaining overall.

So here's the breakdown:

January 1: 283
February 1: 282

Total loss for January- 1 lb.

It's time to get serious. No more eating out. I don't need it, I can't afford it, it's not that good, and it always makes me sick.

February is the shortest month of the year, but I intend on making it have the biggest impact!

I am currently taking a Nutrition course at school ( not because I love to be in class in all my overweight glory while a lovely fit person talks about how to get healthy... it's for my program of study). The instructor is a nutritionist and dietitian, and is passionate about health of not just herself and patients, but everyone else. I bring this up because she has said on a number of occasions that THE best way to start losing weight is to stop gaining it. Simple... but there is so much truth to it on many levels. Anyway.. the reason I bring it up is because when I read your Total Loss for January it said "1 pound" Not only did you lose the pound.. you didn't gain. To me, that is a huge victory. :) Keep it up, you are doing better than you know!
