BFFM Update

Where to start....

I am trying to be patient but the scale is proving to be a great frustration for me. Although I'm feeling great and making serious strength gains in the gym (last night I had 40lbs in each hand for dumbbell press and did a full 12 reps), the scale isn't really budging. Initially, I went down a pound but then I gained again and this morning, I weighed more than when I started this plan. I'm trying to stay positive through it all and keep doing what I'm doing but it's tempting to throw in the towel at times.

I've realized that in the past, I've always given up when I didn't see the results on the scale. I know my body resists weight loss. I KNOW IT. So, instead of giving up this time, I will continue doing what I'm doing, which in my heart I know is all the right things. I work out 5 days a week, and eat whole foods within my calorie range. Something has to give. I'd do more cardio to burn off the fat but I'm already at my limit as far as capacity (I'm recovering from knee surgery).

    I agree, you should take some of your measurements and track those. You're working so hard, you'll see results there even while the scale stalls. Stay positive, you're doing a great job!

    You may also see progress in your measurements as you build muscle. Stay strong and look for other NSVs as you move forward. emoticon
