This week's Fun with Watercolor (pics)

Friday, February 01, 2013

Still having fun doing small florals. These are in 4 different styles.
Playing with this type of painting is the most fun I've ever had by myself, lol. Who knew that in my old age I'd discover something that is so much FUN!

Joe put up these picture rails for me so I can prop my artwork up there and stare at it a few days to decide if I should change the color of the mat or just throw the whole thing in the trash.

They actually look better on a wall across the room than they do close up with bad photography. But no matter, it's still incredible fun for me and I'm happy to have found such a hobby in my old age, lol.

Lovely! I like the yellow and orange best. Reason? Maybe the fullness and great drawing and also less white space.
I agree it's not a "hobby". When I hear the word hobby, I think of putting model cars together or building bird houses. Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!! Perhaps that's just my history. We had a store in Halifax called Hobby Lobby and there were no lovely paintings there.
You are expressing your artistic soul!!!

I think they are beautiful! Don't throw them in the trash. You could give to someone. You never know who might just love to have one!

They look very nice...I'm taking an oil painting class right now and it's harder than it looks! I love finding new ways to be creative; looks like you do too.
