Moving Forward

Friday, February 01, 2013

Well I've gone and done it. I signed up for a gym membership. My employer offers check deduction for a membership to the local gym. It's a good deal, and I got one of my co-workers to sign up with me. She is not on Sparkpeople, but has been trying to eat more healthy and wants to exercise. She is not able to do this at home on her own, so I asked her to join the gym with me. She said yes!!! emoticon

I'm so excited to start this with her. We committed to 3 days a week after work to start. Even though I have an elliptical at home, I am looking forward to having some equipment to do strength training on. emoticon

I think more than that, I'm excited to take my friend on this journey with me, and also have someone to hold me accountable as well. This will be my first real workout buddy, and I can't wait to get started. emoticon

I think having someone to go to the gym with will really help. You can encourage each other and hold each other accountable!

Joining the gym was a BIG decision for me too.
Didn't think I'd like it.
First thought --- wrong.
Love it.
Hope you enjoy your experience as much as I have.
