Already struggling...

Friday, February 01, 2013

I've struggled the past few months (apparent in my absence here!). Weight has been up and down, I think related to my meds. I am at my highest weight since 2009. I tried a few days of not taking my meds, but that was a disaster by the end of the 3rd day. I totally fell apart, so we won't be trying that again!

I have been doing pretty good about going to the YMCA in the mornings. Which leads me to today: Got up at 4:50am and was walking to the bathroom when I tripped over my 125lb lab, Daisy. As I fell, I felt my little toe pull out to the side. It is broken: swollen and tender and still slightly out of place.

God's not-so-gentle reminder that I need to SLOW DOWN whether I think I have time or not!

YIKES! Hope your toe feels better SOON! I know how frustrating it is to be sidelined by an injury! :(

My doctor said the same thing to me last April when I broke my nose tripping over my amplifier because I was in too much of a hurry to turn on the light. Grr. (There's a pic in my photo gallery.)

Hope your baby toe heals fast so it doesn't cry wee, wee, wee all the way home. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) Rest, ice, compress, and elevate! Take time to heal. emoticon
