No Changes

Friday, February 01, 2013

I'm frustrated but I'm not going to give up cause I realize the scale and measurements for the most part are changing. My issue is why aren't my clothes fitting differently? I know it takes time but I just don't feel any different at all, other than pride in how I'm eating and no heartburn. I lost 14 pounds, 2 inches on my waist and ribcage. All the other measurements I took are a moot point to count (-0.5 inches or a 3 inch gain in my calves..whut?). I'm not expecting miracles over night. I just want to be able to wear this cute scrub top again and it's still tight as heck. At this rate, I'll be able to wear it again in.....July. My mother was like, "oh next week you'll feel a difference." But I don't see how 1 week would work magically miracles!

Here is my weight loss graph for January. I weigh daily.

A watched pot of water never boils! You might be looking too close and expecting too much, too fast. It took me a year to gain the weight I had to loose, so I expect to take that long to get rid of it.

Okay I should mind my own business but I say this because I am doing the same thing. I feel like I should have reached my goals several months ago but....

I will be patient! Yesterday I got a speeding ticket because I lost my patience. So my lesson was learned. emoticon I will go away and leave you alone.

If you want to say something negative back go ahead!

I think you are doing wonderful!!! Don't give up!!! Keep that cute top where you can see it. It will motivate you to keep pushing. Before you know it, the top might even be too big. Keep at it!!!

My sister said to me once when I was telling her (ok I was whining) about not losing any weight after making so many good changes. Her wisdon, "but just think where you would be if you didn't do any of those things". Good point. Keep you eye on the prize Shannon - it will happen

You are doing great! Although it is not what some of the articles say, I saw more weight loss on the scale than in inches or in my clothes too. Then suddenly, I realized one day that my jeans were annoyingly too loose. It will happen, keep going.

emoticon My losses didn't show in clothes early on because everything I wore stretched! Your loss is showing Shannon; I can see it! Just keep doing what you're doing. Better health alone makes it worth it! The rest will come. Slow and steady wins and makes maintenance easier.

It will happen as long as you keep moving forward. Maybe hang that scrub top in a place you will see it a lot to help motivate you. You'll get there!

1/2 inch loss in places is actually pretty good! Last month, even though I lost weight, my inches didn't even move for my arms or thighs, and less that 1/2 inch in waist and hips. So you ARE making progress. Every single thing you do toward your goal is changing you from the inside-out. Have faith and trust the process. You're awesome... and headed towards mind-boggling amazing!

I'm not seeing any of my loss in my clothes yet either, (wow and my goal is looser scrubs. lol). However, inches...even half inches are baby steps toward the big goal! emoticon
