300 calories & sugar cubes

Friday, February 01, 2013

This is for LISAN0415. Lisa suggested yesterday that I show you what 300 calories looks like. The best information I could find was on SparkPeople!! Imagine that! emoticon

The image above & a couple of the images below are also from SparkPeople.

Pretty eye-opening, huh?

For the entire article from SparkPeople with more images, here's the link:

Then I decided to take it a step further & show you the sugar content in a few items:

Blessings to you!! emoticon emoticon

Yep a picture is worth a thousand words. I am diabetic so I am aware of every sugar I consume. Its the breads and potatoes and white rice that get me if I let it. Hard to say no to normal common food everybody eats, but worth my health. Susan

Eye opening for sure. But when it comes to processed food sugar is not the only thing you need to worry about.

I would take those grapes any day/time. The nutritional content trumps sugar, unless I was diabetic.

Wow ... a picture speaks volumes.
When it is put in this way, it is easier for people to put the number of calories consumed into perspective.
Thanks for sharing them in your blog. emoticon emoticon
