My goals for January were:

Follow the challenge goals successfully
Lose the 6 pounds I gained during vacation
Go to the school gym three days a week

Well, I didn't follow the challenge and actually just kind of dropped out at the end. I did meet the challenge goals as far as tracking my food, eating more fruits and veggies and getting in more cardio. I haven't really been changing my diet intentionally but making my meals at home and packing my lunches has helped me to eat a lot better. I eat a lot more fresh food and hardly any processed junk. I still indulge in the things I really love from time to time but I don't have cravings for sugary and salty treats very often.

I lost my vacation weight really fast thanks to being sick for almost a week. It doesn't really feel like an accomplishment but I have managed to keep it off for three weeks so I suppose that is something to be pleased with. I am at the point now where I would like to drop the last ten pounds and it is always very slow moving. I swear I will take measurements this weekend so I have something else to go by.

The one that I thought would be the hardest actually turned out to be something I really enjoy. I started going to my school gym and have been going about three days a week. I don't know why it took me so long to finally go but I feel totally comfortable there. I don't even notice anyone else and it is usually not that busy. I am proud of myself for getting over my apprehension and taking the plunge.
