Okay, here's the damage for today:
I was really craving sweets around lunchtime - no surprise, since I was hungry! But since I had a lunch ready to go, I didn't eat the cookies that were hiding in a cupboard in my building.
I also started craving sweets at the end of the school day - also due to hunger. And again, I stayed away from the cookies and had an apple, instead.
At lunch and after school, I thought of sweets both times, but really wasn't tempted.
By the time I got home, it was a different story. DD came in with a box of Thin Mints, and it was all over. I probably had around ten all evening. Even when I wasn't hungry, I was reaching for them. And who can blame me? The darn things are delicious, and I've got 10 cases of cookies in my living room right now. The joys of being a Girl Scout mom! I've not had a problem with them until today, though. And there's been a box in my cupboard all year that I've not touched.
I do know that I tend to eat more when I get home from school. Exhaustion certainly has something to do with it. I just want to crash and give myself comfort. It's more fun than cleaning house would be, that's for sure. But it's not doing good things in my life. It's something that I'll work on during the Sweet Tooth Challenge this month. Because no one wants to be a cow every afternoon.
