Ok, Court Today With Nick.......Victory? I say YES!!!

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Okay, most of you know my son Nick is quite a special guy.
We had a rough night a while back and he turned into Satan after I took his cable box due to his behavior. Anyway it was ugly, he ran off at 1 am and did some damage at our neighborhood store.

So court today he was " sentenced to 2 weekends" on the Chain gang....I love it. He didnt destroy a lot of monetary damage, but that's not the point. So for the next 2 weekends from 8:30 am -3:30 pm, I have to drop him off at the Juvenile Detention Home where he will be on an outside "workforce" doing mulching, raking etc. I am glad since he DOES NEED TO LEARN A LESSON. So for 2 weekends he is on House Arrest starting at 5 pm (which wont bother him one bit, since he likes to be here) BUT he is in for a HUGE WAKE UP CALL when the work begins, he has an accountants hands....and swears a RAKE doesn't fit them. So I am going to sit back and take A WEE BIT OF PLEASURE of seeing him learn some landscaping.
IF he gets kicked out (he wont) the remainder of the time he owes will be spent in the Detention Home, no worries there (I hope). He also must take some classes in addition to his therapy he is already in with me, on how to control himself when he doesnt get his way, I say GREAT!
So wish we luck!!! My boy may have a chance after all!!!
Will let ya'll know whats happening and how it goes!!!

Thanks you all for your always continued support with Nicholas, it is all appreciated!
Love to you all,
Janet

This is Nick and our neighbors dog Abbie that we babysit when they are lucky enough to go out of town!!

I'm hoping your son learns from this. I had to do something similar when my son was in high school. It hurt me to leave his there, but it has to be done. Good luck!

Here's hoping it's a lesson learned for the rest of his life. It's a wonderful thing that you are on board with this. Many parents would be upset because they don't believe physical labor is the way to go.

Good luck to the both of you.
