I'm Making Progress In Inches!

So I decided to measure my hips and waist today and boy am I glad I did. I lost 1.5 inches from my waist and 1 inch from my hips. I know it is not a lot but it definitely means something to me. People used to tell me that it didn't matter if I didn't see a change on the scale because I could be losing inches. I never quite understood it until now.
I want to lose weight. I don't want to be a size 2x and 20/22. So if losing inches is the way I'm going to see progress right now then I'm happy with that. I feel that for me, seeing progress is that small push I need to keep going on this healthy lifestyle journey.
Today was a good day. I ate well, stayed within my recommended ranges, and did 35 minutes of exercise. I feel great and can't wait for tomorrow.
