A cold and blustery day

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Cooper and I walked 7.1 miles today, and they were hard miles due to the weather conditions. The temperature dropped about 45 degrees from yesterday to 20 degrees today, and there was plenty of blowing snow. I had icicles in my eyebrows at the end of our morning walk. Brrrrrr.... and we are supposed to have more of the same tomorrow.

To round things out I did two ST videos here on SP, plus 45 modified pushups and 24 big girl pushups. I probably should have restrained myself on the pushups, but I felt like a slacker not doing SOMETHING besides walking. Exercise has become such a normal part of my routine that I feel strange when I don't do some. I guess that is to be expected since I am on Day 532 of my fitness streak. That is a lot of hours of exercise! It better be habit by now!!

I am fairly certain I will only have time to do cardio at the gym tomorrow, but I will sneak in some light ST at home after my company leaves. I only have 5 and 1o pound weights at home, so I will just have to do more reps to reach fatigue.

I don't mind Winter and I enjoy snowshoeing, but I am ready for Spring now...

532 days is impressive - and inspiring. Thank you. I am still struggling with "do I really want to do this?" There are moments when I think not. It is the exercise and the amount of food I must consume that I am having trouble. You see, I am not hungry. I have no appetite.
