So, today was mom's appointment with audiology. It took about two hours, starting at about 0925 and ending at about 1130/1145. She actually felt fine afterwards which was good. We had a pretty good lunch and then walked around a mall for a little bit.
Now, mom is asleep, Dad is annoyed because Mom and I were too tired to make dinner (Mom didn't sleep at all last night and I only slept for about four hours total on and off) and my sister is her general not really caring about anybody else self.
It's fun when you go to your sister asking about chest pains and all she can say is "I don't know!" in an annoyed voice because you're disrupting her stupid online game. She can't even pretend to be concerned about me, even though now I'm her only transportation now.
Oh well. The only ones that really tend to care when someone is sick is Mom and I, and mom has enough on her plate. Eventually I will get doctor's appointments for everything that is wrong with me, the recurring chest pains, one time severe enough that I couldn't get the clothes out of the dryer because it hurt so much. Eventually I'll get all of this stuff looked at, but I don't know when. I've been meaning to get one thing looked at since about the summer of 2011 and haven't gotten anywhere with that.
I've had chest pains before after a car accident when I was 14, sort of like a stabbing pain. Got a whole bunch of tests done and they said that nothing was wrong. I get them off and on occasionally, and I'm wondering if it has to do with stress. I wouldn't be surprised, as I'm pretty stressed a lot of the time now.
I don't know. I'm going to take it easy tonight. I might forgo the bike and do some exercise videos instead. They still get my heart rate up, but they should be easier on me. And besides, mom fell asleep in the chair downstairs and the bike is down there too and I don't want to wake her up. So... most likely, videos are the only thing I can do tonight. Oh well.
So, overall, got some leads on my mom's health. She is going to start physical therapy and is going to be scheduled to see a specialist for ears. Seeing the specialist might not happen for another couple of months though because he is one of the top in his field and so has a really booked schedule, but hopefully this can get scheduled relatively soon. There is also a doctor's appointment coming up to talk about my mom's diabetes management since she can't really exercise anymore. We have gotten things done.
On my end, I'm looking forward to baking pies with my one friend on the 9th of February, not so much looking to the planning meeting at church this Saturday (there isn't really much that my department needs to talk about, I don't think, but still, meetings make me nervous, especially since I'm in charge of one of the departments), and just trying to manage/ignore my own physical pains that occur. Bleh.
