Approaching Valentine's Day!

emoticon As we approach the holiday of love, chocolates, and romance... I am thinking about Hearts.... No, not the kind in a card or covering a box of chocolates...but the organ that sustains our lives. This marvel that pumps blood and enables us to experience all of the wonderful things that this life provides. I ask myself how often do I give thanks for this wonderful work of God. Am I even realizing that it is a gift that it continues to beat each day? emoticon On further reflection...How do I treat this wonderful mechanism...Do I nourish it with nutrient dense food to provide it with all it needs to pump healthfully? Or, do I consume artery clogging goodies that make it weak? Do I give it a workout so that it can be strong and fit? Or, do I sit around all day getting it enlarged and lazy? emoticon
This February, I pledge to my feed it well and get it fresh air and exercise.... emoticon What about you?????? emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Great blog!

I've gone back to using a heart rate monitor to judge how hard I need to be exercising as I recover from being sick. It's a great way to know just how much I can manage.

Thanks for the reminder about Valentine's Day coming....time to order something for my sweetie!
