How Many Calories DoYou Drink In A Day?

I found something today that I want to share with you.

And while I'd wager that the majority of us on SP don't do what I'm about to show you, I know some still do.

And besides, this is sudden perpective changer.

Imagine if you will...

You wake up, drinking a glass of orange juice with your breakfast. You head out the door, stopping for a latte on the the way to work.

First break comes around, you feel like you need a pick me up before lunch, so you grab a soda.

At lunch you grab a fruit punch with your meal.

Getting off work you head home for dinner, with a cool glass of sweet tea. Maybe afterward to meet some friends for a quick beer.

Sounds like a "Typical" day....

only what you don't realize is................











Is that you've drank your ENTIRE days worth of calories.... and not counted for a single bite of food.




Really makes you look at things differently, doesn't it?

    The only calories I consume from a drink is 30-60 from 1-2 small cans of low-sodium V8 juice...heated with a few splashes of Tabasco. Mmmmm. Thanks for sharing the enlightening info!

    So true! Every once in a while I budget in a latte or mocha for a "snack" instead of actual food LOL. I was always one of those people that said I couldn't drink 8+ glasses of water a day, but I made myself start doing it, and my body adjusted after a couple of weeks (so I wasn't peeing all the time LOL) and now if I don't get at least 10+ glasses a day I can tell because I feel like crap!

    Thanks for the info. I try not to drink my calories, but I drink milk for calcium so that's about 300 calories.

    I find it somewhat fascinating the amounts that are considered typical as well. Aside from the orange juice, just about everything listed is two servings worth (or more) rather than one. For example, 20 oz of soda when 6 or 8 oz is an actual serving!

    And that's the reason I rarely drink anything other than water and my one daily coffee. I'll occasionally have a pop or some other sweet drink, but it's in the same category as a dessert for me. So many people would be shocked if they actually tracked this. I'm so glad that I genuinely think water is the best tasting drink in the world.

    Excellent point!!!

The only drink I have that contains any calories during the day is my morning Breakfast Smoothie. Otherwise it's water or unsweetened herbal tea.

    I just drink water most of the time. I only drink orange juice if my sugar is low from not eating soon enough. I have a soda once in awhile less than 12 a month because if I do not I get caffeine withdrawl MIGRAINES & they are really bad. I usually drink Pepsi Max. No coffee. Tea only once in awhile.
