So, I was working at a gym temporarily, and became friends with the GM of the company that rents space from us for their personal training desk/offers. He had just moved to the area and didn't know anyone in the area, so when I couldn't afford training at even his best rate, he offered to train me for free in exchange for my friendship. He also wanted to offer me a job, but I had a great new career job with benefits starting and wasn't interested.
So, yesterday was our first "session". We did biceps and back. OMG OMG OMG was it hard. I literally was lifting until my muscles just didn't work. It's funny too, because you know you're telling your arms to lift or pull, and they just aren't doing it.
I learned what drop sets are, where basically you go to a heavier weight for your last set, then go to exhaustion, and drop down the weight, repeat.
I'm really excited to work with him. He's a super nice guy too.
not hurting too much today, but I probably will tomorrow.

I love that she taught me what "skinny fat" is...now when I go to the gym, I just look at skinny girls and think, well sure you're skinny but you have no muscle. I want that sexy muscle!!!
