Getting Started!

HELLO! emoticon

Just like everyone else here, I want to make myself look and feel better! I went from being a waitress doing 10 hour shifts 4x/week emoticon (and working normal shifts otherwise!) to being a housewife, and the change has taken its toll on my body! emoticon Yikes!

I've gained about 20lbs, but I'd like to lose 30lbs, just to look even better than I used to. Throughout my whole life I've never really weighed less than 132lbs, and I'd like to know what it feels like to weigh even less than that and bring it all the way to 125lbs.

I've never really been a crazy workout-er emoticon so the only way to change my body and make it last is to change my LIFESTYLE and HABITS. When I was waitressing, I looked great, because I was constantly running around and eating very minimally. I had no choice.

Now my lifestyle is more sedentary, and my body is taking the flack!

I've got the nutrition thing taken care of now, I believe. I became a vegetarian (almost vegan) a few months ago. I love it! I have mostly stopped *gaining* weight, but have yet to *lose* much! Hence why I need to bring more activity into my life.

If you're visiting my page, please add me as a friend. I need motivators! We can help cheer each other on!

-I have hardly any physical strength. Running is a joke, as is jogging. I can speed walk for 30 minutes nonstop.
-I eat an almost vegan diet low in saturated fats and refined flour. I may be eating too many nuts for protein (high in fat, albeit healthy fat) and may need to switch over to more beans and less nuts.

--so me!!

Thanks for stopping by.. :)

Hey, I cannot run (yet) either. I do like walking though and need to do it more often. If you want to walk together some time let me know. emoticon

I can relate. I used to cycle to work and then be on my feet all day. Now I work from home on the computer, always sitting. What a difference! If you don't like exercising then maybe those extra calories burned while cleaning would be good motivation for a home wipedown? Finding reasons to stay on your feet is key. Good luck on your journey!
