So much has changed since my last blog, that I am not sure that I am the same person who last wrote after surgery. Having breast cancer and the successful surgery in July of 2011 following that, was a life changer for sure but watching my mom go from a vigorous self sufficient person in June of 2012 to her death in September 2012 and everything that went with and after that has changed me forever. There is no going back to normal . Normal is something new and has become fluid. Somtimes I feel very weakand other times it seems I am so much stronger than I ever knew. Somehow my role in the family has changed and is continuing to change . I hope to keep blogging now may spark connections seem to be lost some people seem to not be at the site anymore. It is good to see and reconnect with others. SP is a spark for me

When I got active again in January, I found a number of Friends weren't active - at least for now. But, I was able to re-connect with some and you will be too. Also, I have a few new Friends, like YOU! We can make this journey together.
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I read on Spark someone saying, "You never stop hurting, but you don't hurt as often after a while." Or, something to that effect. I still miss my mom who has been gone for 17 years. She appears in my dreams sometimes, and I am always so happy to see her; and I wake up happy. I hope all the wonderful memories of her help offset the trauma of her decline and death. I'm sending you a big hug.
