30 days done - weigh-in and measure

After 30 days of eating better, cutting out sugar, wheat, grains, coffee, alcohol, soda and some dairy it is time to step on the scale and get the measuring tape out to see what happened...

Weight: start 151.6 today 142.9 lost 8.7 pounds
neck: start 12-1/4" today 12" lost 1/4"
bicep: start 11-1/2" today 11-1/2" same
bust: start 38" today 37-1/2" lost 1/2"
ribs: start 29-1/2" today 28-1/2" lost 1"
waist: start 29-1/4" today 28" lost 1-1/4"
hip/butt start 38-1/2" today 37-1/2" lost 1"
thigh: start 22-1/4" today 21-1/2" lost 3/4"
knee: start 15" today 14-3/4" lost 1/4"
calf: start 13-3/4" today 13-1/2" lost 1/4"
Total lost 5-1/4"

To put all the numbers in perspective my height is 5'8"

It has been a great month and I am thrilled with the results. My weight goal for the end of the month was 145 and I have gone past that :)
It took this challenge to get me focused on eating right and stop making excuses. It felt so good to have my head in the right place. I always say that if your mind isn't in it, it isn't going to happen.
Another thing I have noticed is that with cutting out certain food groups I felt better, slept better and my mind was clearer.

What's in store now the challenge is over? I will stay focused on my eating plan but I will have a cup of coffee now and then. DH has been very supportive and we haven't eaten out all month, I am sure there will be a few meals out from now on but I know better how to pick my meals now.
