Last night my husband and I bought our airfare for our house-hunting trip in April. Luckily for us, my mom and my aunt (they're partners in crime!) are coming to stay with the boys while we head North and find a place to live later this summer.
After we bought the tickets, K (husband) and I started getting excited. We're moving to a city, and for suburbanites like us, that's pretty thrilling. We've scheduled three full days of house-hunting and then our last day we'll check out the sights (and the local running stores!).
While I adore my kids, I'm really looking forward to the trip with my husband. We rarely travel without our family, but this time it just made sense. I can't even imagine how boring it would be for the boys to be dragged all over the place while we figure our where to live. I'm already excited to wake up early and check our out new city in my running shoes!
For now, though, I've got plenty to look forward to between now and then. I've got two big races (one coming with a trip to Disney!), a concert, two birthdays (K and my youngest) and a visit from my in-laws. So when I'm feeling like it's too hard to stay on plan, and that it's too hard to keep exercising, that's what I'm thinking of...all the awesome things coming down the pike, and how I want to look and feel when they happen.
