I LOVE Chocolate!

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Nope, this is not me. I received this photo in an email from Funny Potato website.

I hear that some Chocolate is good for you. Well, maybe not as much as I would LIKE to eat. I do drink a cup of cocoa about once a week but if I have any chocolate in the house, well.......!

I do not have Nutella in the house but I do have an off brand chocolate-nut spread. Sometimes for breakfast I have one slice of toast with smooth peanut butter on it and the other slice with chocolate-nut spread.

And one thought on bread. Our local bakery is closed so if I want bread I either have to make it or I buy some white bread that is made by an individual but sold in a local store. She makes a small hoggie bun. I use the whole thing but in order to cut down on bread, I need to be cutting it in two portions as it is more bread than I need.

Today's Positives:
1. I've been cleaning my office today. My friend who visited me for six weeks had stayed in the office. She is on her way back to the States now so I'm "moving" my things back into it.
2. I found pork hotdogs in the store today. This is the first time that I have them for sale locally. Normally the only thing available is chicken hotdogs and I do NOT like their taste. Yes, I still eat processed meat. It's an easy lunch in the middle of the jungle where I live.
3. My friend left me a big bag of M&Ms but she hid them somewhere, I think in the kitchen. I don't plan to look for them unless I really have a chocolate "fit"!

Have a good day. emoticon

I am a chocoholic!! I have to have some every day or I begin to "graze" on anything and everything to try to satisfy the need then end up eating it as well. So, I have my portion every day and enjoy!!

I love chocolate too. It made me swell up and up and up. Then when I took weight off I quit. When I reached my goal I started adding some dessert.
Pretty soon I was eating a piece of pie, a piece of cake and ice cream all in one meal. I thought if I keep this up I will be fat again emoticon so went on a no dessert streak 211 days ago and I no longer desire it. I can sit beside it, watch others eat it and it doesn't bother me at all. I know when I am over surgery they will probably give me all sweet stuff and I will have to eat it but it will taste yucky sweet.
One time I ate a whole box of chocolates at one sitting.

Nice to see you back blogging again. Great picture of that little one with the Nutella. As for me, I don't think I've ever met up with a piece of chocolate I didn't like. emoticon

Lots of willpower there not trying to hunt up those M & Ms in your kitchen. No wonder you're doing such a good job maintaining the weight you've lost since you returned from the States. Great job!

What a cute pic!! Now that IS too much chocolate - even for me!! One thing I have notice that has changed in me is that I am now 'picky' over which chocolate I eat. Why waste calories on something that is only mildly liked??? So if it's york mint patties or Hersheys' -- I'm ALL in!!! Any of the others -- I can take them or leave them and I choose to leave them. Glad you got your office back....and what a fun thing - you have to search for your MMs!!!! Let me know where you find them....

I love the chocolate hazelnut spread on graham crackers. I have to limit myself because that and peanut butter are my indulgences and I absolutely love love them. I can't buy chocolate because I will sit and eat it all up which is not a good thing ever. M&Ms are one of those things that I will eat the whole bag before you know it - just a few at a time but I keep going back that's why I don't buy them either.
I hope things get sorted out quickly. Enjoy!

Hi Carolyn - great to have you back on line! I love to read your 'daily positives' - makes one think about the little gifts we enjoy each day.

Chocolate - I have been buying the dark chocolate waffers (the type used for making chocolates) from a bulk store - I am able to eat just one (or two) and satisfy my chocolate craving - each one weighs only 6 g or approx 20 calories.

Thanks for sharing this blog and the cute picture! The picture warms my heart and fleece is warming the rest of me. Today we have a gas leak in a pipe under ground so we have no gas to run the furnace or the hot water heater! That would not be a problem if it were summer here, but it's January in Ohio! We're expecting single digit temperatures over the weekend! If the wind stops blowing we can use our BuckStove, and we have one electric furnace upstairs that is running, but electric heat doesn't travel downstairs very well. The repair guys have to order pipe so it may be awhile before we get hot water and heat downstairs. We're hooking up electric heaters and hoping pipes don't freeze! It's always something! Thank goodness we have electric as a backup when problems arise. Right now your jungle is sounding pretty good to me!

I have realized what I really love is the IDEA of chocolate. I associate it with warm fuzzy good times. What I really crave is sugar. Nutella cannot live in my house, it is must too beautiful on things and I love beauty.

Can't say that I love chocolate, but I usually end up eating it when I crave something sweet. Yesterday I had a fun size snickers. Looking at the calories it added up was not fun! emoticon

    Have a great day! emoticon

Ah, the little pleasures from the Fatherland!
One reason I lose weight when I go to Peru is that, althought they are cocoa producers, their processing isn't as rich, so their chocolates aren't as good as, say, Hersheys. Less temptation! And stuff from the states is more expensive. But I know how it is to want chocolate now and then! Blessings - Shel
