Last run of C25K (and it HURT!)

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

It is a great day! I finished C25K! I can now run 3 miles! It is shocking to me and requires a few more exclamation points!!!

I had a bit carb-ful lunch today (not on purpose, went out with some girl friends to a vietnamese place). Anyway, I was hoping that all those carbs would make the run easier. The easiest run I have had was after a day with lots of carbs. But no, it was horrible, probably the worst run so far. I stopped several times for water. I really really had to just talk myself through it and convince myself to finish. Even when I was only 4 laps left, I wanted to stop.

But it is over and now i have 2 rest days before the next 3 mile run which i will time! Also my sister got me a gift certificate for a massage for Christmas, I think now is the time to redeem it! Night night, SP!

Have a great night!

No question! We're talking sodium. AND I wonder how long it was between you eating and then running. As a runner now, I look at my body as a vehicle and want to burn clean fuel. I focus on that all the time. It helps me maintain and secures my nutrition. Embrace your run and enjoy!

Vietnam cuisine? Methinks it wasn't the carbs that cause the excessive thirsty. I was the sodium.
