Sitting here, bored, tired, unenergized I started to think about my diet. I eat a lot of bread because it's about the only thing we have. My brother and I both get link and I'm trying to find a reasonable excuse why we arent buying healthy meals with them. There really is none. We buy foods we think dad will like, well, it's our ink, our money and Im going to start making a list of healthy items to buy and start eating healthier. I'm going to buy all sorts of food so we arent having to eat bread all the time, more veggies and a constant supply of fruits. We usually go to the store every day to get stuff for dinner and therefore using more gas than we should. Why not just buy everything all at once? If dad had his way we wouldnt even have veggies! He is a pure-protien and fat kind of guy and he eats way too much bread, one time for dinner he had 7 slices of bread and butter.
He really is a heart-attack bomb waiting to blow up any time now, and add that to his smoking with COPD??? He isn't going to live much longer unless he makes changes. We cant make them for him but he usually eats what mom puts on his plate, so why not cook healthier, balanced meals with out all the fatty meats? Theres really is no harm in switching up meals, one day have a protien packed dinner and then the next have a nice vegetarian dish. Sounds good to me!
I really want to make changes, and I'm starting to think that cutting the sweets in half will help tremendously. With my link I am going to buy more fruits and fresh veggies. We have a juicer so we can make out own fruit juices with out all the addes sugar. WIth my link I think I have the rights to choose what to buy with it as far as foods go and I'm going to choose to buy healthier foods. :) It should help me get more energy and and to lose weight in the long-run.
