Look here Missy, the next time the holiday season rolls around, I'm goin' to need you to hold it together a little better. There is no such thing as taking a weekend or 2 off and getting right back in it. Yes, that may work for normal people but daaahling-- you are special.
One scoop of ice cream leads to one cookie, one more cocktail here then taking a day off from tracking there, and then its all down hill. Your bad habits are like that comfy old tee-shirt with the holes and tacky bleach spots that you break out when the laundry piles up. You thought you tossed it a couple of months ago and then you were afraid you'd miss it one day if you needed something ratty to throw on. Bad habits are comfortable and it's so easy to sink into them.
The next time you're headed to that holiday party or back to the snack table for a second helping, remember how hard it was for you to get back on track and that extra 10 lbs that set you back about 1 month. Yes, all is not lost and you did better this time than last holiday season but you're supposed to learn from your mistakes. Now give yourself some love (smooches) I tell you these things because you're awesome and I want you around a long time and in good health. Nobody is going to drag you to the gym or force feed you vegetables and baked chicken. You have to take good care of yourself everyday and that includes Nov. 1- 12-31!
