Stress showed up...it brought cookies

I had a fantastic weekend, my husband and I did a date day all Saturday hoping around museums and just having a very well needed day off. Sunday I just vegged and relaxed. Then Monday showed up. Not just any Monday it was a Super Nova of Mondays which bled over to Tuesday which is now invading Wednesday and I'm pretty sure Thursday is being set up for infection as well. Monday I did ok, I still tracked everything I ate, I was too far under what I should have eaten and didn't exercise. Yesterday the stress level hit the roof and I actually sent my husband to the store for cookies. I ate 5. I would almost feel guilty but that's all I ate yesterday. Today I'm trying very hard to deal with the stress and I know I still don't want to eat but at least have something healthier than 5 cookies. I'm thinking 4 cookies and a salad.

    well I have to say way to go for holding yourself accountable! You are owning it and that is HALF the battle. Recognizing this and knowing you need to work on it is the FIRST step to changing it !! Awesome job and keep it up and before you know it you will have changed all those bad habits to good ones. YOU Are WORTH it !!

    It's not easy finding a substitute for stress when we are so used to turning to food. I don't know the source of your stress, but at work I used to take a walk and told my staff they could feel free to do the same. To me movement is the best stress beater.

    I know exactly what you are talking about. My week is the same and has included the police a few times. That last full moon was a doozie.

When my stress level hits a certain point, I don't eat then shove something bad into my mouth to get calories. Bad idea but I think we all do it. Just track those cookies and all will be well in the long run.
