In a good way though! (you thought otherwise, didn't you?)
Now before grabbing something that's unhealthy for me I'm thinking about what to eat. Does that have gluten in it? What can I eat that will give me energy? Planning & packing a lunch before I leave each day. Before I would just wing it and end up starving when I got home and raiding the fridge! I'm even meal planning. Today is Day 3 of what has turned into slow cooker week around here. I love tossing everything in the slow cooker and having it do all the work. No more "I've run out of time so we'll just have pasta nights".
In the past if I were in a hurry pasta was my best friend. Heck it was my best friend any time!
My husband called me the pasta queen. I could eat it every day at every meal. I was hooked! Now I limit myself to 1 portion of brown rice pasta a week.
I'm reaching for more fruits for dessert & snacks and filling our plates with lots of veggies!
I can't wait to see what's in store next. I'm playing with the thought of going "paleo" or grain free all together. But 1 step at a time. It's only been 30 days of gluten free, I'd like to get more comfortable with it before I try to add or take away anything.
