wild wind night 2

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Compared to some of our neighboring counties, we really have little damage. The power displayed by these weather events are astonishing...and we have seen far more right here on our farm in the past..even a tornado, some major lightening stikes and other straight wind storms. Still, this is some of what we will have for clean up. DH has already cleared the electric fence. We will eventually use all the downed stuff for firewood.

This tree just uprooted altogether. It fell across the small firepit and across the driveway between my home and my son's home.

This one split right down the is in the woods behind our house.

DH is already clearing what came down in the garden...on top of the tomato cages. It is the tops of two trunks!

This is DH clearing the electric fence. This view shows the debris in the garden.

There are a few more, but this will get too long.

ONE more to show though: (This is the best photo..but some of the others are fully January!)

I must admit I'm not a fan of those kind of storms. Glad you and DH were safe.

Bad damage! I loved the daffodil photo, they are my very favorite! So much so that my bridal bouquet was of white daffodils (April wedding).

Ah the power of an unseen force has given warmth for next winter! Can hardly imagine the unfathomable force of Jehovah.

A lot to clean up but at least no damage to you or your house. It is amazing the power of wind, isn't it.

My goodness me......that must have been frightening. My storm was all bark and no bite....thankfully.
Glad you're ok through it all.
