I'm 9 days into my new lifestyle change and healthy eating is slowly becoming more of a habit. I spend more time everyday thinking about my food and preparing meals, and I've lost 4 pounds in that 9 days. I have not gone to the gym as much as I would like, but I'm cutting myself a break because I've been successful at making a big improvement in my eating habits already. I need to set a more definitive goal for the gym, though. I have one right on campus that has every machine you could dream of, fitness classes, and several pools- and it's free. Yet, I still don't go. Makes sense, huh? I want to take a fitness class because I will get a more rounded workout than I give myself, but there is only one I want to take that fits into my schedule and it's pretty early in the morning. I'm not a morning person, but I think that needs to change since I have to get up early the other days of the week for class. So, my goal this week is to hit the gym tomorrow and Friday. I have a ton of school work to do, and a messy house, but the gym is a priority over my house (even though I think it may be giving me anxiety to live in this mess- I'm a neat freak). I am also hoping to find an accountability buddy soon. I used to tell my husband how far I ran and how many calories I burned every day, but he's fallen off the wagon and won't get to the gym either.
