Hi Spark friends!
Just thought I'd give everyone a little update. Since I can't seem to visit everyone's pages like I'm use to, this blog will have to do the trick!
So we are all doing well. Carly has been a pretty easy baby thus far and is actually falling into a bit of a schedule already. I know this could change at any given moment though, so I don't stress about it.
Just to clarify on my "11 lbs lost" the other day...here are the stats:
January 17th - 216 lbs
January 19th (birth day) - no clue
January 21st - 206
January 28th - 195
So when it said 11 lbs lost, that was my first week after giving birth...it did not count me having the baby!
Exercise is non-existent right now...it's only been 11 days, so I can't do too much. Planning on adding in regular outdoor walks at 4 weeks. Everything else will wait until after my 6 week check-up. So my main focus right now has been on food. I'm eating way more than I am use to because I am nursing. However, I am keeping the food in check. For example, breakfast was oatmeal with peaches, half a bagel, and 2 eggs. Lunch was a turkey burger, broccoli, an apple, and one chocolate pudding cup.
Dinner will be pork chops, brussel sprouts, and garlic pasta shells. Snacks have been fruits or veggies for the most part. I did pick up some 90 calorie Fiber One bars for a quick snack...though I can only have one of those a day (I already get plenty of fiber as it is). I love those for my 3 AM feedings because it's quick and convienent. Peanut butter on wheat bread is also another quick fav snack of mine...just one slice of bread. Trying to do the best I can right now. Everyone says don't count calories, and I'm not really because I don't have the time to track everything right now. So I'm just focusing on keeping my diet as full of healthy foods as possible. Also making sure to get at least 12 cups of water a day (essential for nursing). I treat myself to a glass of cranberry-apple juice each day at some point, just for something different.

So that's what's been going on here. Trying to keep up with everything around the house the best I can. Trying to spend time with Preston when the baby is sleeping so he feels included. By the way, he's all better, and is back to helping me at every possible chance with Carly. He sure does love her.
Naps haven't worked out so well this week, but I'm hopeful this will change...maybe today even?! :)
