Vegas..Day 2

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

My phone was supposed to arrive yesterday morning by 10:30. We waited around for it. Then, I get a confirmation e-mail at 11:00 stating the order had just been placed with Fed Ex and would be delivered today by 3:00. Called Verizon again. Long story short I asked for a credit for that line. They agreed. I thought it would be around $30, but this morning I received an e-mail confirming the credit and it was $68. I looked at our account and somehow it got paid on Sunday and we already have a credit of $30. Bizarre.

Onto the fitbit. They no longer have replacements for the Ultra. I don't think they are making them anymore. Instead they are sending me a new Fitbit One. I'll take it. From what I have read in reviews, it is made better than the Ultra and doesn't have the issues of the Ultra.

As for the trip itself. Actually, my eating has been good as I usually split something with my daughter for lunch. I brought oatmeal for breakfast and that has worked out good.

I was smart and carried my tablet yesterday since we don't have the phone. Also, I'm going to have to use it as my camera since DH didn't let me bring the digital camera. I love being able to google stuff to do.

Yesterday, we had a pretty bad lunch at the Mandalay Bay. It was the only place we could get into as there was a convention. Then we went to the Luxor and saw the Titanic exhibition. That was fascinating. We got back to the hotel and rested for a while. We had reservations at Mon Ami Gabi for dinner. We split a bunch of appetizers and that was enough for us. Then we saw Jersey Boys. That was a fun show especially if you remember Frankie Valli, although the kids enjoyed it too.

Today is a trip up the Eiffel Tower. Then The Gardens at the Bellagio and the Forum Shops at Caesars. Maybe a show tonight. Stay tuned...

Sounds like the Vegas part of the trip is going great! Would love to go there one day...and to see Jersey Boys. I would even love to see Frankie Valli if he still performs!

You're into Day Two, now have a working phone, appropriate credit, camera, great food and photos, and now you have the remainder of your vacation to make fun and enjoy the extravagances of the city: All the great lights, shows, and just enough of the machines to not lose too much but what you've allotted for the cost of entertainment. I haven't been there since the 70's, so I know things have changed BIG TIME! Looking forward to your future blogs and photos! Have fun! If you do pull the handles, on just ONE spin, just say something to the effect, this one's for Lucky Lady Evelyn . . . may you win a bundle that covers most or all your expenses. (smile, smile) Sorry . . . I just couldn't resist! It's just for fun!
