What to do what to do~HELP

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

Hi All~
I currently live in the Midwest. So far we have had a pretty mild winter, it has not been too cold, however going outside is usually NOT an option. I have 2 kids a 13 year old girl and a 9 year old boy, they are both pretty active and willing to try any activity emoticon . Does anyone have any ideas for activities for the last few weeks of old man winter?? A big thing for us is ice skating, but my 13 year old is getting a little bored with skating. Does anyone have any other ideas on activities??

Oh heck yeah. Things that cost money: Downhill skiing, cross country skiing (less expensive and a good workout), dogsledding, snowshoeing, Camping overnight in a yurt...

Things that are free: Tobogganing (a garbage bag over cardboard if you don't own a sled), Hiking in the woods, skating, snow forts, painting in the snow with food-dye and water, make snowmen or snowbugs or..., put out birdseed and watch birds after a few days, blow bubbles (if it's below freezing they'll freeze fast!)... omg what can't you do in the snow? lol. I love snow. :D Hope that helps!
