This is a journey I have been on many times before. The I'm Really Serious This Time Journey?. This time I began my personal food plan 11 days ago.
I kicked it off by attending a Living Lite Hypnotherapy Session. Now it is not Hypnosis in the TV type of definition but a ? Weight-loss class which strives to induce lasting habits for healthier eating and exercise with relaxing hypnotherapy techniques? .
I was so ready. I have been pretty much couch bound with a chronic bronchial kind of thing which is a deep racking cough for YEARS!! Every Dr. & diagnosis & medication has not been able to cure me.they just keep saying its not Cancer so I am reassured but still coughing. While on the couch seemed not much left to me except cooking & eating so that's pretty much what I have done bringing myself to my highest weight ever.
I have missed most all social activities, go to bed at 8:00 and stay close to home because of the cough?. I am sick of it, sick of being sick, sick of self medicating with food. Time for a HUGE change.
The class was just what I needed. Our leader, Katey?s NEW to me techniques & principals.just what I wanted to hear.I have tried all the others. I taught WWs for 7 years back in the day of the little pink folders. I know how to do it I just wasn?t.
The concentration/relaxation techniques which we learned are definitely working for me. The very different approach with some old time goodies thrown in like smaller plate etc. Working well. The visualization of where I want to be of a favorite picture (although mine is about 17 years old? This is the body I am feeding & taking care of. Not the fatsuit body that somehow grabbed hold of my good body & smothered it!!
Visualizing this cute Gail first thing in AM & last thing at nite w/prayers. Feeding THIS body & not the Fatsuit body. Taking care of it by increasing movement and respecting this God Given Gift. These principles are working and going to get me to my target weight. These along with My Net Diary. I love this APP as it is with me thru the day & keeps me focused on what Im doing & where I?m going. Quite simply. I love it!
As I said I began 11 days ago & have lost 10 lbs. I am thrilled! Yesterday was my first break day? where I gave myself a break! Went out to lunch.took my Walden Farms Salad Dressing.if you don?t know Walden Farms let me introduce you! I know this product will be HUGE in getting me where I want to go. Then I took granddaughter Hanna for frozen yogurt (first guilty pleasure in 11 days) Just had maybe 3 oz. It was great. So today my weight stayed the same OK I had a great time and barely went off my program! I still have 52 lbs to go and I really feel I can do it with these principles & tools I am using.
Another saving factor for me is popcorn. I knew I had to pick a snack to fill in for all the ice cream etc I was walking away from. I ordered one of those really cool theater type poppers, put it on the counter & off we go. Air popped w/Coconut oil and a spray of fake butter . just a spray & Salt Sense,..Love it that is my go to snack & really fills me up. Matter of fact I will be popping some in just a few minutes as today I'm 100% back on track since my little break yesterday.
My next exciting find is Wegmans Chocolate Sauce & Caramel Sauce. These are fabulous and here's the best part...they are CALORIE FREE. This pic shows my snack from Monday...fabulous!!
Can't wait to do chocolate w/ strawberrys!
So yes, here I am a new day and hope to make some friends & reconnect with some old ones on the same journey. .
