Cole Slaw Recipe

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

You should tweek this to your liking. I am going to try using sweet and low next time to save calories. Don't know how it will change taste.

Kfc cole slaw ??
Makes about 2 cups
40 cals per cup
Approx 200 cal for all

Heaping cup finely chopped/ shredded cabbage 36 cal
1/4 cups shredded carrot 12 cal
4 teaspoon onion 6
touch salt /pepper

I added the following because I like them

cup cucumber 11
cup yellow/red pepper 9
cup tomato 15
Dressing
1 tablespoon +1 teaspoon light mayonnaise 47 cal
2 teaspoon milk aprox 20 cal
1 tablespoon sugar 46 cal
tablespoon white vinegar
lemon 3 cal
teaspoom celery seeds
Add dressing to veggies and mix well. Let sit in fridge for at least 30 minutes before eating.
Can also just use bag of coleslaw veggie mix that most stores have. Chop or shred however you like.

    Hi Eleni,
Sounds good, I'll wait a few days for my appetite to come back, I have a sinus infection. We always like cole slaw with fried chicken or seafood.

    love

Sounds good. My DH doesn't care for cole slaw. But maybe I'll just make some for myself!
