Day 22: Blahblahblah

I have a LOT going on in my little brain today, so this could be a long one. Hmm let's see where to start...

EXERCISE:
Today is Day 9 of my 10-min-of-activity streak. I never thought keeping a streak would be a motivator for me .. turns out I was wrong! I love seeing that number go up on my streaks page!! I just joined a Wii Fit team and I think that is going to be really good for me. I've been trying to keep up with the Stay-at-Home-Moms challenge of the day, but honestly they feel like a chore. I think the Wii Fit challenges will work better for me, because I love seeing the minutes go up on that little piggy bank. :o)

FOOD:
Last night we went to Red Robin, and I looked at the nutrition facts online before leaving. Most meals are over 1000 calories! That's insanity. I discovered I could save over 200 calories on the Bacon Cheeseburger just be leaving off the mayo. Yeesh. So I had 3/4 of that, and only a few fries with just a dab of ketchup. Eating out always means LOTS of water intake for me, so that's a bonus. I did go over my calories, but by less than 100. And today the scale said I was down half a pound, so I guess I just needed some extra food haha ;)

WEIGH-INS:
I've decided that I really need to follow the rule of once a week weigh-ins. It's so hard though! The scale is right there in the bathroom, AND I get on the wii board everyday and it's so quick to do a weigh-in there. But I see a lot of people posting about the excitement and motivation leading up to a weigh-in and I think I need that! So I'm going to start weighing in on Fridays only. Since this Friday is February 1st I thought that would be a good time to start.

I guess that's all for now. I need to take a break from the computer and go play with the little guy! He is chomping at the bit for some attention!

    I weigh myself daily. I find that if I don't I find it too easy to avoid the scale altogether. I need it to keep me accountable.

    I LOVE the wii fit. I got it for my birthday in Oct 2011 and it helped me shed almost 20lbs. Of course I gained some back and here I am now ... but it definitely got me started on the right path. You get what you put into it though .. a lot of the exercises are silly/easy like the balance stuff, but if I make myself do the aerobic and strength activities it's definitely a workout! I also love the JustDance games for Wii - they are an awesome workout, and a lot cheaper than getting set up with the wii fit.
