Gnawing Hunger in My Belly!

The canteen is grilling chicken outside of my classroom window. I am on day 17 of my 30-day vegan challenge, and until today I have not really had any cravings for non-vegan stuff, but that chicken smells SOOOOOOOOOOO good. It's Wednesday, which means that we have a different schedule at school, and my lunch period is about an hour later than usual. So I am sitting here smelling grilling meat and unable to eat my lunch for another 45 minutes.....grrrrrrrrr

    That is so unfair of them to be grilling right there! Anyhow, you probably made it through, ate your own lunch, and are now feeling virtuous, right?

    You are on DAY 17! You've got this! You can eat all the grilled chicken you want (well, within reason, I suppose) once your challenge is over. It would be tough for me too, but I know you can do it! Stay strong!

    I bet it's like the old Froot Loops commercial with the amazing odor acting like a "come here and get me!" finger...but you can give it a different finger back!! emoticon emoticon

17 days is HUGE! I'm on day 7 of no chocolate and yesterday some rat-fink put a large tin of Belgian Chocolate "Enrobed" Cookies in the cafeteria. I literally leaned towards the tin and whispered "F*** you, cookies!" it was silly and made me laugh and got me over that urge to rip open the box and roll around in it.

    You made ME want grilled chicken, and it's 8 am and I don't own a grill!

You can tough it out, and like Daughteroftwin said, it will be there for you when you are done. You're halfway there!!!

    Yikes! Hang in there. Personally, grilled meat is my Achilles heel. I would pass on the cakes, cookies, potato chips and ice cream any day for a big old' grilled piece of chicken. However, that chicken will still be available to you when the 30 days is up. You can have it whenever you want. Today you choose to not eat chicken, but instead to eat your homemade, yummy lunch.

You can do this.
