Exodus 20:16
"You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor."

Mark 14:57,58
Some stood up and began to give false testimony against Him, saying, 58 "We heard Him say, 'I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.'

Hello guys and gals.
We got a call from the doctor's office today on some of Asher's tests. He has some sort of infection so they started him on antibiotics, and they said he had elevated ketones in his urine. The doctor wants to run some more tests in two weeks. My wife and I did not know what elevated ketones meant so we looked it up. Asher could have type 1 diabetes. I want to ask all my spark friends and people that read this to please, please, please, pray for my son and for the next tests to come up negative for diabetes. I know it is God's will that needs to be done, and he is in God's hands. I just ask that you guys would intercede for Asher. Thank you in advance.

I had a good day other than that. Went to the gym and played a bunch of racquetball. My legs are stiff today due to the leg workout I did Monday. I am hoping they let up before I go try and play racquetball this morning. I am looking forward to it though even if I am sore, I will try and play some.

Commandment #9 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." One of you touched on this in my last blog. Giving false testimony causes you to steal someone's reputation. That may be what God was pointing at. How many times have we heard something through the grapevine and pasted it on to a friend. Passing that gossip is a form of false testimony, when it sways someone else's view about another person. Some the high priests and council gave false testimony about Jesus. What did that lead too? Ultimately it lead to His brutal death, and resurrection. I think we need to be really careful about spreading gossip. I think that we should be silent unless we actually see happen. Then again why should we bring other people into other people's business. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time tending to my own business than someone else's.

Heavenly Father thank You for this day and each day before this one. Lord I ask that You would give us the strength to not gossip. Lord I ask that You would help us keep our business our and others business thier's. Lord thank You once again for Your guidence and strength. Lord I ask that You would find favor in my son Asher's situation, and cast all the possibility of diabetes away from him. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

I pray that your son is healthy and happy for a long time to come. Elevated ketones do not ALWAYS mean diabetes - occasionally it can signal a kind of infection. I have a foster daughter who was diagnosed at 12 with Type 1 diabetes and her doctor said if her parents had caught it earlier and made changes to her diet she may have not become insulin dependant still now she is 25 and happy and healthy. My husband was diagnosed at 40 with Type 1 although he had no history or genetic markers. Sometimes we don't know why but because of him I have been able to help my foster daughter learn to manage her diabetes better.

Good job researching and getting information. I'd be happy to help with any more if I can. God Bless! Renea

My son had similar problems when he was an infant. Our pediatrician gave us a list of foods, most of which were junkie any way, and told us not to let him have ANY until after he started school, then slowly introduce them as occasional treats. We had to fight with other relatives to make them stick to it, but it was so worth it. His body had time to grow and correct itself. My son will be 15 in April, and is perfectly healthy, no problems to speak of, no more signs of diabetes. His eating habits, and the foods he craves are SO different from his friends. I credit that to the healthy habits he was taught early on.

Right on! emoticon A good lesson for us all.

Father we put Asher and his family into Your loving hands, and ask You to intervene in his condition, Your will be done. We ask that there is not a major health problem in his life, like Type 1 diabetes, and even as we ask this for Asher, we ask You to guide the people who are working hard to bring an end once and for all to this disease. Be with all who are caring for Asher, and with those who do the tests and any treatment, so that the best outcome possible comes out of this. Thank you for his Christian home, where he is blessed and will receive the very best always, in Your love and will we ask, and in Jesus Name, amen.
