So...at 4.30am, the boys are barking...hard! My husband took a peek outside, it was still pretty dark, and it was my bestest cousin in the whole wide world...she'd come to go with me bike riding, cause she just lives up the road...in a flash (literally) I was ready, my husband commented to me and chuckled that, that was the first time he'd ever seen me jump out of bed and get ready to go for my ride...and so we did, she had to help me put my socks on...lol...only cause I was still pretty stiff to reach down while sitting to put them on...

...and off we went, only to find it was extremely dark and I had no reflective clothing, just my shoes and the bike, no lights either...so I said, I think we should go for a short ride and go back and try again tomorrow morning for a longer ride...hello...she said she had no brakes on her bike...arrggh...!! anyway...we shall not be defeated and looking forward to the ride tomorrow...we will try a new route and much closer to 6am...so looks like a 5.30am start...we're going to do a loop de loop!

...just getting starting now, and back into it tomorrow, got my strength training to start back on tomorrow...got me some new weights coming in the next couple of months, so looking forward to it immensely...!

I love how instead of quitting over the reflective stuff and her lack of brakes, you figured out how to overcome those obstacles. (She WILL get those brakes fixed, right? )
You go!

maybe you can invest in some lights and a reflective vest. We put ours on to walk the dog at night because as drivers we realise how invisible people are in ordinary clothes. It may not be a good fashion statement but "safe than sorry" comes to mind.
Congratulations on being eager to go out at that unearthly hour. It won't be long before you manage your own socks

emoticon I wish my Favorite Cousin lived so close... she is 700 miles away in another state. I think it is wonderful you have someone to ride with, it makes it so much better and not like exercise at all. Well, maybe just better! LOL
