My day began after a restless night. First "the dog" Jolie decided to start her whining at the gate about midnight and wouldn't stop so I locked her in her crate for the night. Then I just kept waking up every two hours. Either too hot, or my hip was hurting. The hip thing is so weird. They just ache when I lay them when TOM is visiting. Never have figured that one out!
So.... after breakfast we headed out to pick up my dad as he and Isaac had their eye exams. I was so thankful to have them scheduled right after each other to save time! Isaac was done before my dad was so it worked great. Good reports for both. Isaac's eyes are great and dad's eyes hadn't changed in a year and neither had his macular degneration. I was concerned for Isaac and all the different tests since he doesn't handle the unknown well at all. He had a little trouble with the glaucoma test, but he did it without fuss. One of his first tests after that needed some special glasses. He wanted me to take a picture of his cool dude shades. LOL
We dropped dad off about 11:45 and then headed to McD's for lunch as we still had some shopping to do. Mainly we needed socks for Isaac as he was down to 3 pairs after the last laundry day. Too many holes! He was not happy that he could not find green ones. Not sure what the obsession with green socks was, but it wasn't shaken until he saw some black socks that had green stripes on them. Thankfully the stripes are on the bottom of the sock so you won't see them with shoes. Maegann bought a $1 treasure to help her sleep and here she is modeling her sleep mask:
Another issue today after the eye appointment was that Isaac wanted glasses. I for one am thankful he did not need them! Anyway, he found him a pair of sunglasses he liked and he hasn't taken them off since we bought them. As the counselor said he does have issue with bright lights, maybe they will have some therapeutic value too.
Tomorrow... gym, school, dd's piano lesson and ladies bible study.
NIGHT SNACKING CHALLENGE - DAY 29
I should have had an apple, but was still craving salt so measured out some tortilla chips and added some of the salsa again. Hit the spot and felt good that it was all measured out and tracked.
[. . . though He slay me, yet will I wait for and trust Him. . . ] (Job 13:15)
Trust in Him. Is there something in your life you don't understand, no matter how long and hard you think about it? Give it to God and put your trust in Him. Whether or not He ever explains it to you, youcan trust Him to bless you and bring you through any crisis.
