Today was a success in terms of health. It was a tough day at school though and I just realized that I forgot to call in my high blood pressure medicine! If tomorrow is anything remotely close to today, I'm gonna need a refill ASAP! I often wonder if I will ever be able to get off my blood pressure pills. Even after I lose the weight. Teaching 6th grade is rather stressful for me and I just wonder if my body will ever naturally be able to manage the stress. Between the kids, some mean parents, administration, state expectations, district expectations, etc... I just don't see it happening. Who knows? I plan to find out though! At least if I get healthy, I will know that that's not the cause of the high blood pressure.
So back to today; I got sidetracked. Successes for today:
1. Calories were at the low end of my range
2. Rode stationary bike 30 minutes
3. Drank 6 cups of water
4. Took vitamins and fiber
Now, if I can just do this 90% of the rest of my life, I'll be doing good! It's a lifestyle change that needs to be made. A day is a good start though, right? Gotta start somewhere!
