I've discovered cheese crisps and all of their yummy crispy cheesy goodness!
I've been meaning to try them for WEEKS now, but for some reason I sit on things FOREVER until I actually try them.
Anywho, I read somewhere that these are GREAT for curbing cheese cravings. And if you're like me, you LOVE cheese. If you're like me, you could LIVE OFF OF cheese. And if you're like me, you would bath in cheese if you could....okay, maybe I took that a little too far. But if you knew me, you'd know I LOVE cheese.
Okay, so how easy is this?
Shredded or Grated Cheese (YOUR CHOICE!)
1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Scoop 1 T or 1/2 T cheese in rows onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
3. Bake 5-7 minutes
4. Pull out, let sit for a few minutes and ENJOY!
I'm obsessed. And the best part is that 1T of cheese=20 calories! So you can have 5 for a 100 calorie deliciously cheesy non-processed snack! OOOORRRRR you can make 1/2 T crisps and they are only 10 calories each! So you can have 10 crisps for 100 deliciously cheesy calories! BAHHHHHH!
I am sorry, I am just so excited about these. I CRAVE cheese. I crave it more than I crave sweets. Cheese used to be my enemy. But thanks to these crisps, I can have the yummy cheesy experience I crave for a snack that actually feels like a snack (not just a small bite!).
And the possibilities are endless here. You can add Italian seasoning to parmesan cheese, hot sauce and blue cheese crumbles to cheddar cheese...omg I have to stop I am drooling!
I am excited to pack these into my lunch at work as a snack--most of my snacks are usually fruit, veggies, or roasted edamame. These are going to be AWESOME!!!
Now if I could just keep my mind off of them so that I don't eat all of them tonight....
