day one on thyroid medicine

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

hmmmm. was wondering if I would feel anything.

answer...............no

Still good day at work. Ran this morning. First time since Friday when I kind of messed up my right knee. Actually, ran most of the path and then walked when my right foot started feeling a bit funny. Tomorrow is another day. Hope the rain holds off until I finish the path.

So, it has been a thoughtful day. I think about my chemistry. It is funny how we all operate on so many levels at the same time..........dealing with customers, ordering inventory, talking to staff, chemistry............good grief how high is my cholesterol, need to contact siblings, what about children, yadda, yadda, yadda,

I'm thankful for this heads up on my health. Thankful for my doc. Thankful for direction

Oh my . . . I started on thyroid meds (back in 1998 for Hashimotos) and it took at least 2 weeks for me to feel ANYTHING. It does take time for the med to build up in the system, and was in therapeutic range by the time my 3 mth. check came up.

Be prepared, though, that perhaps the dose may have to be adjusted. I went through that 3 times, but have been on a steady dose for the last 12, almost 13 years.

Hang tight. It'll happen for you! HUGS

It usually takes a few days before you feel any difference. I just had my doseage tripled today since the original dosages were not working after all these years
