There is a beautiful poem by Dorothea Mackellar that is well-known in Australia... if you have the opportunity, it is well worth reading. The most quoted verses says ...
"I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains.
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror -
The wide brown land for me!"
From time to time this wonderful country tests us to see just how strong we are, and the past few weeks of bushfires in some States and floods in others have demonstrated just how awesome our community spirit is. I am sure you see the same when life challenges you.
Perhaps we need these challenging times to make us stronger, to check our plans, to refocus our determination, to appreciate those around us and to renew our awe of our wonderful world.
But am I talking about fires and floods? Or about our SP journeys?
