lol I totally broke a sweat, before mile 5 even, it was so hot, but it really was fun. The Gravedigger pic is my fave, and the longest line we waited on. We were not about to miss it though! We passed by alot of characters, but we were so looking forward to that one!

LRB444, they are Compression sleeves, I do sometimes have shin problems, my biggest problem after the marathon was my calves. I wore them in hopes of curbing the pain, lol. It did help I think, the next day there was almost no pain!
Nikki, thanks! It really was daunting, lol, but it was really fun as well! I cried like a baby the last mile, it was *so* hot, and *so* hard, but it was also so awesome!
Next stop, 13 Half Marathons in 2013!!

It looks like so much fun.

In the last picture are you wearing a shin sleeve? I get awful shin splints just walking...I'm wondering if a shin sleeve would help.

Good for you! You made running a marathon look fun rather than exhausting and daunting! I am proud of anyone who ventures on a marathon and you did it with a smille. emoticon
