The Fit Bit Addiction

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

So, yesterday, I wore my Fit Bit for my run, but then took it off to get in the shower and forgot to put it one when I got dressed. Amazing, the impact that thing has! I literally found myself at one point yesterday thinking, why take the stairs instead of the elevator, it won't count anyhow? I had to admonish myself that just because it doesn't show up on the Fit Bit, doesn't mean I'm not getting the exercise. LOL! Never fear, I am wearing it today!

I seriously wanted to roll over and go back to sleep this morning, but for once Paul decided to be disciplined and go for a walk, so I got up and did yoga. Which felt great, I haven't gotten a yoga workout in for a couple weeks. I wish I could do yoga every day...but then, if I ran every day I'd be a lot better at that...and if I did weights every day I'd be a lot stronger...and I just don't have the time or oomph to do everything, every day! Mixing it up is good too.

Oh, as for the Mom report, she's doing much better but still in the hospital - they won't release her till she can get out of bed and walk on her own. Which kind of makes me laugh, because she can barely do that in the best of times, but I'm glad they're being cautious.

Well, hi ho, back to work I go...

It's so true!! I was on the bus one day last week, and thought, Oh I should get off a stop early, oh no, nevermind, I don't have the FitBit on today :( Which, you are right, is not the point!

The funny thing that had happened was that I couldn't find my FitBit for a couple of days and was so worried I lost it. Then I found it, still attached to my bra!!!! in my closet!!!
