My scale MUST be broken...

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

According to my scale I'm down to 223 from 227.6 only 5 days ago. During those days I had one day wayyyy over range, two days under range, and ate completely vegetarian for two days mid range. I skipped a few workouts opting for calling my yard work good enough and really didn't put much effort into this week. So, all that being said...that's it, that scale must be busted. Or my giving detox a try really busted through the plateau I've been on (even if I did sneak in crackers on day one because my guts are disagree to a liquids only diet.)

We enjoyed the weather yesterday having lunch outside, letting the animals run loose, and getting a project mostly finished. I even managed to get all the doors and windows open and air out that winter staleness. I'm also very glad to say we're still working well together and getting along nicely.

I haven't accomplished a thing today. Breakfast was a flop: 1 c. Gluten free Rice Krispies, 1/2 c. skim milk, and 2 oz homemade sausage (made with 80/20 ground pork and spices). Calorie wise that's acceptable. But, it's still starting my day with a heaping bowl of simple carbs. Anymore I've moved most cereal to my junk food list.

I'm attempting to motivate myself to at least do a the first 28-Day Bootcamp video because I joined that challenge. The fantastic weather has caused me sinus distress this is the second day I've woke up a snotty, booger monster with a raging sinus headache....that's a nice visual right?

Past all that, today is bound to be wonderfully boring. The only thing that is on the to-do list is hubby has an echo-cardiogram and a visit with the cardiologist. Nothing says fun like spending a grey rainy day in the waiting room at the doctors office. While the cardiologist is extremely nice and a brilliant doctor, the nurses have a tendency to get you in way after your appointment time then take you back into the patient room and it's an interior office with no windows, and I think they forget you because it takes around 30-45 minutes past your appointment time to be taken back and once taken back, at minimum 30 minutes to see the doctor, ironically once he's there you're out in 5 minutes. But, I use this time to get some walking done...I wander back and forth to the coffee area set up down the hall and drink a ton of 1/2 decaf, 1/2 regular coffee.

Well, off to attempt that video. I'm moving at lightening speed this morning so I may have to try it twice just to add up to the calories burned for one time.

I really like Special K Red Berry Cereal.
And Grapenuts are a calorie bomb, but when I mix 1/4 c. with Greek Yogurt it satisfies my occasional need for crunchiness.

Try Oatmeal. Especially when it is this cold, it makes my breakfast happy. The plain round tub of quick oats and a bag of frozen blueberries is also really cheap, and microwaves in a snap. Sometimes I feel decadent and add low-sugar dried Craisins or raisins or a tsp of brown-sugar Splenda.

Your progress is amazing! and it just goes to show you-- we do not need to be perfect every day-- we just need to be better most days!

    Keep it up!
