Good times to DRINK YOUR WATER throughout the day!

This is more of a note to self because I have GOT to be the world's WORST about drinking water.

I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!


Does anyone else have to force themselves to drink water? So, lately I have been sneaking it in, in the form of Green Tea. Loving it, if I may add!
This is alllll water!! So there! It counts!


Anywho... I found this article and it should be helpful to me to be able to get in most of the recommended water for the day, does anyone else use this rule of thumb?

It states:

2 glasses of water after waking up helps activate internal organs. It's best to sip and not chug these, and if two feels like too much, just drink one.
(p.s. I would rather chug and get it over with, does anyone know why it's best not to chug)?

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal (but not any closer to eating time!) helps digestion.

1 glass of water before taking a bath helps lower blood pressure.

1 glass of water before going to bed is also beneficial for cardiovascular health.

So... If I can just remember this little list of rules EVERY day, I should be able to tackle my water intake issue...like that!

    I like water but I have a tendency to chug, so I am also curious about why chugging is bad. Do you ever squeeze lemons into your water? That is tasty too!

    I used to hate water years ago but finally discovered that I really hate bad tasting water. We have an R.O. unit and I like water with tons of ice. Of course, tea is better and it does count. LOL. Loved the rule of thumb list for water.

    munch on a spicy pork rind, water will taste wonderful. plain pork rinds or anything dry like that works too.

I've actually never had a problem drinking water, grew up with a well that was always refreshing and tasty.

    When I have trouble forcing it down I resort to Dixie cups. I may not be able to chug a bottle, but I can always down 3 or 5 ounces.

    A glass of water before bedtime almost guarantees I'll be waking up early to go pee. Othrwise, I like these tips. Have no idea why sipping would be better than chugging. Er, does the water 30 minutes before eating mean no fluids with the meal?

  I've never heard those water rules before. Have you tried those Crystal Light/Mio/etc. type of flavor adders to your water? They're supposed to help get your water in if you have trouble.
