"Do me a favor and join WW?"

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

Said the Dr. yesterday. So, SP Friends, do I need to pay $15 a month to join WW when I could just use SP and have you all for support on this journey? She did schedule me for an appointment in just 4 months. to the day.

I printed out the letter that SparkPeople provides for Doctors at my last checkup. My Dr. really appreciated hearing about the program. The last time I went to the office there was a SparkPeople notice on the board for her patients!!

While WW is a wonderful program that has worked for many people, the most important thing is to find what works best for you. For me, I find having 24/7 access to helps me stay in the right mindframe. Where I struggle is in accountability to fitness, so I signed up with a trainer to keep me motivated there. Try different tools & see what keeps you going :)

you don't need to join WW you just need to eat fruits and veggies, no junk/processed food, drink water and exercise (and I keep telling myself

I have decided to buy some jeans for the cost of joining WW! HAHA! Don't mess with my money. I'm grateful for SP and for the SHOVE the Dr gave me yesterday to realize this is a lifestyle issue I should take more seriously than push it to the back of my mind. I am learning to cook and eat healthily. Plus, NotAboutTheFace is a HUGE motivator of mine.

I did WW for years and they are a great weight loss tool. There are many great weight loss tools and I do agree that it helps being accountable to someone in a weekly weigh in. I just did not want to pay that much a week so I weigh in at TOPS which is cheaper and come here to SP for mental support !! DO what works for you because we are ALL different !!

good luck and you can do this and YOU ARE WORTH IT !!

weight watchers is just a different way to count calories. So stick to your spark goals and by the time your appointment rolls around and you and your dr feel it is not working then invest some money in weight watchers... or maybe a nutritionist?

You can do it!!
